Our family takes a trip just about once a month. We've never been to Charleston before and so this trip was new for us. While Charleston is an awesome town, there is not a lot to do for a little one....however, the water taxi was amazing! It's $14 per adult and a discounted rate for kiddos. That gets you an all day pass to take the water taxi. It runs from the main pier to the new African American Museum/Aquarium stop....then across the bay to the battleships...then to the marina...then back to the main pier. It is an hour long trip if you never get off. My daughter had never been on a boat before. We took the taxi three times in one day as a full ride just to be on the water. It cost around $40 for the three of us to be on a boat for three hours a piece. We saw dolphins in the wild and heard stories about the area and the battleships. It was the best thing we did in Charleston this weekend. Please do not miss this gem of what I would call, an event! The captions and first mates are amazing. However if you are riding the whole way, there can be a wait so don't harass the crew, it's not their fault and they will always get another boat going to accommodate the traffic! Please do this if you are in Charleston....it's the one thing in all our adventures I will now never miss out on!

Martin and the two captains (two different rides) were great. I saw two dolphins and was able to ride back and forth multiple times just as they say you can. Highly recommend using Charleston Water Taxi.

Such a cool way to get from Mt. Pleasant across the harbor to Charleston. We've often seen dolphins too! Love not having to pull my hair out looking for parking in Charleston. Arrive on water taxi, Uber wherever you'd like then catch it back across the harbor!
Fantastic Voyage, always you to hop across the water from Mt Pleasant to Downtown Charleston in 15 picturesque minutes. We did have a hard time finding the dock, make sure you access the dock in the resort beyond Patriots Point.
